Mom'S Peppermint Stick Ice Cream
|Coffee cream||1 Quart|
|Peppermint stick candy||1⁄2 Pound|
|Plain gelatin||1 Teaspoon|
|Cold water||2 Tablespoon|
Put cream into a large mixing bowl, add crushed candy, cover and place in the refrigerator several hours or until candy dissolves.
When ready to freeze, add salt.
Soften gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes, then dissolve over hot water and stir into cream mixture until thoroughly blended.
Strain into freezer can and freeze according to directions.
Makes about 2 quarts.
