Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream

Ingredients
  Unflavored gelatin 1 Tablespoon
  Cold water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Egg yolks 2 , beaten
  Whipping cream 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Strawberries 1 Pint, crushed
  Vanilla 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Red food coloring 12 Drop
  Egg whites 2
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

In measuring cup soften gelatin in cold water.
Place cup over hot water in saucepan; heat and stir till gelatin dissolves.
Combine egg yolks, whipping cream, strawberries, the 2/3 cup sugar, vanilla/salt, and food coloring-.
Add gelatin; mix well.
Turn into 13x9x2-inch pan;-freeze.
Beat egg whites to soft peaks.
Gradually add the 1/4 cup sugar, beating to stiff peaks.
Break frozen strawberry mixture into chunks; beat with elec-tric/mixer till fluffy.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Return to pan;, freeze.
