Honey Of A Breakfast
|Fresh asparagus||8 Ounce, cut into 1 inch pieces|
|Green bell pepper||1 Medium, diced|
|Onion||1 Medium, diced|
|Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (1/2 Stick)|
|French bread loaf||1 , diced (8 Cups)|
|Chopped cooked ham||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
|Cheddar cheese||8 Ounce, shredded (2 Cups)|
|Honey||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Milk||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
Saute the asparagus, bell pepper and onion in the margarine in a medium skillet over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes.
Layer the bread, ham, half the Cheddar cheese and the sauteed vegetables in a greased 9xl3 baking dish.
Combine the honey, eggs, milk, salt and pepper in a medium mixing bowl; beat until smooth.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sauteed vegetables.
Sprinkle with the remaining cup of cheese.
Chill, covered, for 8 to 10 hours.
Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until puffed and golden.
