White Radish With Honey

  Chinese white radish 1 (peeled)
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Fresh ginger 2 Tablespoon, chopped
  Chicken stock 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (heated)
  Honey 1 Tablespoon
  Fresh parsley 1 Tablespoon, chopped
  Cornstarch 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cold water 2 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste

Slice radish into 1-in (2.5-cm) thick rings. Cut rings into quarters. Place radish in saucepan containing salted, boiling water. Cover and cook 18 to 20 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Heat butter in saute pan over medium heat. Add radish and ginger; season well. Cook 4 minutes.
Pour in chicken stock and bring to boil. Cook 3 to 4 minutes.
Mix in honey and parsley; cook 3 minutes.
Dissolve cornstarch in cold water; stir into radish mixture. Cook 2 minutes, then serve.
