Dark Herb Cookies

Ingredients
Shortening - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Egg - 1
Molasses - 1/2 cup
Sifted all-purpose flour - 2 1/4 cups
Baking soda - 2 teaspoons
Ground ginger - 3 teaspoons
Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
Ground cloves - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Hot strong coffee - 1/3 cup
Aniseed - 2 tablespoons
Coriander seed - 2 teaspoons, crushed
Vanilla - i teaspoon
Sugar- 2 cups
Milk- 1/2 cup
Directions

GETTING READY
1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

MAKING
2.Blend shortening and sugar until creamy.
3Add egg and molasses and blend well.
4.3.Sieve flour, soda, ginger, cinnamon, salt and cloves;put the flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with coffee.
5.Mix well after adding each time.
6.Add aniseed and coriander seed.
7.Take a greased cookie sheet and drop using a tablespoon at distance of 2 inches.
8.Bake for 8- 10 minutes.
9.Let the cookies cool.
10.Frost the cookie with vanilla glaze after preparring it with 2 cups sifted confectioner's sugar with 1 tablespoon vanilla and milk.
11.Put a walnut half on each cookie.

SERVING
12.Serve with tea/ coffee
