Cheesy Hash Browns
|Hash brown potatoes with onions||6 Ounce|
|Chopped green onions||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sharp cheddar cheese||4 Ounce, shredded|
|Water||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Pour enough boiling water over potatoes to cover.
Let stand 5 minutes; drain thoroughly.
Layer half each of the potatoes, onions, cheese, salt and margarine in 3 quart casserole.
Repeat with other half of the potatoes, onions, salt and margarine; reserve remaining cheese.
Pour 1/3 cup water over potato mixture.
Cover and microwave 6 to 7 minutes.
Sprinkle with reserved cheese.
Cover and microwave 2 minutes.
Let stand uncovered 5 minutes before serving.
