Super Hamburger Steaks

Ingredients
  Elk roast 5 Pound
  Flour 4 Tablespoon
  Onions 2 , sliced
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Catsup 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Cooking sherry 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Dry mustard 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Marjoram 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Rosemary 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Thyme 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1
  Canned mushrooms 2 Ounce (1 Can, Undrained)
Directions

Dredge meat in flour; brown slowly.
Season with salt and pepper; add onions.
Mix remaining ingredients; pour over roast.
Cover and simmer slowly for 2 to 3 hours.
Remove roast from pan; add more water and thicken for gravy
