Deluxe Hamburgers

Ingredients
  Ground round steak 2 Pound
  Melted butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Milk/Tomato juice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Ketchup 2 Tablespoon
  Cracker crumbs 2 Tablespoon
  Chopped onion 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Worcestershire sauce 1 Teaspoon
  Oregano/Chervil 1 Pinch
Directions

Mix all ingredients together thoroughly, and with wet hands shape into 10 or 12 large, flat, round patties.
In lightly greased skillet, pan-broil quickly until medium-well done, 1 1/2—2 minutes per side.
Centers should still be quite pink; overcooking makes hamburgers dry and shriveled.
Serve on toasted hamburger rolls with Spanish onion and tomato slices lightly sprinkled with salt.
Note: Omit melted butter in mixture if less expensive hamburger or ground beef (containing more fat) is used in place of ground steak.
