Ingredients
  Finely chopped onion 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon
  Ground beef 1 Pound (Use Either Round Or Rump)
  White bread crumbs 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Milk 3 Tablespoon
  Beaten egg 1
  Salt 1 Dash
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Nutmeg 1 Dash
  Vegetable oil 1 Tablespoon
  Hamburger buns 4
  Prepared mustard 1 Teaspoon
  Onion slices 4
  Lettuce 1⁄2
Directions

Place chopped onion in a baking dish and heat 1 minute with 1 tablespoon butter.
Mix onion, ground beef, bread crumbs, milk and beaten egg and add a dash of salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Divide into four portions, shape into 1/2 inch thick patties and make a hollow in the middle of each.
Heat 1 tablespoon butter and oil in a frying pan and fry hamburger patties until brown.
Place in a baking dish and cook 5 minutes.
Place patties on buns and heat 20 seconds.
Serve with favorite condiments.
