Barbecued Hamburger Stacks
|Ground beef||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Soft bread cubes||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Hot milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Melted shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||2 Tablespoon|
Combine ground beef, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper; mix lightly.
Shape into 10 patties.
Blend bread cubes with milk, egg, shortening, 1/4 teaspoon salt, marjoram and onion; shape mixture into 5 patties.
Place 5 beef patties in greased shallow baking dish; top each with bread patty.
Cover with remaining beef patties.
