Hamburger Corn Pone Pie
|Beef||1 Pound, ground|
|Onion||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), chopped|
|Chili powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|Tomato||1 Cup (16 tbs) (canned)|
|Kidney beans||1 Cup (16 tbs) (drained)|
|Corn bread batter||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Brown the beef and onion in shortening in a skillet.
Add the chili powder, salt, Worcestershire sauce and tomatoes and cover.
Simmer for 15 minutes, then add kidney beans.
Pour the beef mixture into a 1 1/2-quart casserole and top with the corn bread batter.
Bake at 425 degrees until corn bread is brown.
