Hamburger Stack Ups
|Hamburger buns||8 , split|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Soft bread crumbs||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Mayonnaise||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|American cheese slices||8|
|Avocado||1 , peeled, seeded and cut into 8 slices|
Toast buns in broiler.
Meanwhile, combine the 1 egg, crumbs, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Add beef; mix.
Shape into 8 thin hamburger patties.
Spread mayonnaise on cut surfaces of buns; set aside.
Broil meat patties 3 to 4 inches from heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
Meanwhile, beat together the 4 eggs, milk, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
In skillet scramble eggs in butter, cooking just till set.
Place cheese atop burgers; return to broiler 1 minute to melt cheese.
Place lettuce and meat patty on bottom half of each bun; top each with spoonful of egg and an avocado slice.
Add bun top.
