Soy Dipped Hamburgers
|Soy sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced and pressed|
|Grated ginger||2 Teaspoon (Use Fresh Ones)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||6 Tablespoon|
|Lean ground beef||3 Pound|
|Hamburger buns/French rolls||8 , split and buttered|
|Thinly sliced tomatoes||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Green bell pepper rings||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
In a bowl, mix soy, water, garlic, ginger, Worcestershire, and sugar.
Shape beef into 8 patties, each about 1 inch thick; place in a large heavy-duty plastic bag.
Pour marinade over patties in bag; seal bag securely and rotate to distribute marinade.
Place in a shallow baking pan.
Refrigerate (or place in a picnic cooler) for 1 to 2 hours.
Lift patties from marinade and drain briefly .
Place patties on a lightly greased grill 4 to 6 inches above a solid bed of hot coals.
Cook, turning once and basting with marinade, until done to your liking; cut to test (8 to 10 minutes for rare).
When you turn patties, place buns, cut side down, around outside of grill to toast.
