Glazed Ham Steak
|Dry vermouth||2 Tablespoon|
|Pineapple preserves||2 Tablespoon|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1 Teaspoon|
|Boneless ham steak||1 Pound, fully cooked|
In a small saucepan combine preserves, vermouth, sugar, and mustard; cook over low heat until sugar is melted and mixture is hot.
Score one side of ham steak in a crisscross pattern and stud with cloves; transfer to a shallow flameproof casserole that is just large enough to hold steak flat.
Pour glaze over entire surface and broil until glaze is bubbly and browned, about 3 minutes.
