Maple Glazed Ham
|Ready to serve ham||12 Pound|
|Apple juice||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Whole allspice||1 Teaspoon|
|Cinnamon stick||1 Large|
|Maple syrup||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Heat oven to 325 degrees.
Put ham on rack in roasting pan, fat side up.
Combine apple juice, allspice, 12 whole cloves and cinnamon stick in saucepan and boil 5 minutes.
Spoon a little of the apple juice carefully all over the ham.
Put in oven and bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours, basting with spiced apple juice every 15 minutes.
Remove from oven, score fat and stud with cloves.
Drizzle with half of maple syrup.
Bake 30 minutes.
Drizzle with remaining maple syrup and bake 30 minutes more or until very tender.
Let stand 20 minutes before carving.
