Yam and Ham Dinner for 2
|Tenderized ham steak||1|
|Canned pear halves||4|
|Frozen asparagus spears||10 Ounce|
|Honey/Corn syrup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Pear juice||3 Tablespoon|
|Processed cheese slice||3 , cut in strips|
Parboil yams 25 minutes.
Peel, and slice thickly lengthwise.
Gash fat edge of ham in several places.
Melt butter.or margarine in large covered skillet or electric frying pan.
Add ham slice and potatoes; saute 3â€”5 minutes over low heat; turn contents over.
Arrange pear halves on top of ham slice, and between them neatly pile asparagus.
Lightly salt vegetables, and brush potatoes with honey.
Pour pear juice around them.
Cover pan, keep heat low and cook 10â€”15 minutes or until asparagus is tender.
Top asparagus with cheese strips and keep covered 1 minute until cheese melts
