Apricot Ham Steak
|Ham slice||1 1⁄2 Pound, cut in to chunks|
|Ham slice||1 1⁄2 Pound, cut 2 inches thick|
|Whole cloves||1 Teaspoon|
|Brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), firmly packed|
|Apricots||16 Ounce, peeled|
|Canned whole apricots||16 Ounce, peeled (1 Can)|
1. Preheat oven to 325 °F.
2. Around the slice of ham remove any fat, place in a shallow baking pan, sprinkle with sugar and stud the side with cloves.
3. Over a bowl drain the apricot juice and pour 1/3 cup of the juice over the ham.
4. Basting often with the juice in the pan, bake for 1 hour.
5. On top of the ham, arrange the drained apricots, bake for 15 minutes longer such that richly glazed.
6. Serve hot.
