Ham and Papaya Pupus
|Chunk of cooked ham||1⁄2 Pound|
|Firm ripe papaya||1 Large|
|Seasoned butter sauce||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Cut ham into 3/4-inch cubes.
Peel papaya, cut in half, remove seeds, and cut into 3/4-inch cubes.
To assemble, thread a papaya cube, then a ham cube ont a wooden pick. (At this point you may cover and refrigerate until next day.)
Dunk pupus in seasoned butter sauce and grill over charcoal 6 to 8 minutes, turning once. or brush generously with seasoned butter and broil 3 to 4 inches below broiler unit until lightly browned (6 to 8 minutes), turning and basting once.
