Barbecued Ham Steak

Ingredients
  Smoked ham center slice steak 2 (1 Inch Thick)
  Cider 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Brown sugar 3 Tablespoon
  Dry mustard 1 Tablespoon
  Whole cloves 3 , crushed
Directions

Place the ham steaks in a large frying pan and cover them with water.
Parboil for five minutes, then pour off the water.
Remove the pan from the heat.
Make a marinade mixture from the cider, brown sugar, dry mustard and cloves.
Let the ham soak in the marinade for 15 minutes.
Remove the ham steaks, saving the marinade, and slash the fat around the edges.
Grease the grill of a barbecue with a piece of ham fat and place the steaks on the grill over medium hot coals.
Baste with the marinade and turn the steaks often.
Allow 25 to 30 minutes total cooking time.
