Ham And Rye Strata

Ingredients
  Day old rye bread slices 2 , cut into cubes
  Cooked ham 1 Cup (16 tbs), diced
  Shredded swiss cheese 2 Ounce
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Eggs 2 , beaten
  Caraway seed 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Dry mustard 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Swiss cheese slice 1 Ounce, cut into strips
Directions

Combine bread and ham.
Divide half of the bread and ham between 2 individual round 10-ounce casseroles.
Reserve remaining bread and ham.
Sprinkle cheese atop ham and bread.
Micro-cook milk, uncovered, on 100% power (HIGH) 1 to 2 minutes or till hot (180°), but not boiling.
In a 1-cup measure gradually stir milk into eggs.
Stir in caraway seed, if desired; dry mustard; and pepper.
Pour half of the milk mixture over cheese in each casserole.
Top with remaining bread and ham.
Micro-cook, covered, on 50% power (MEDIUM) 6 to 8 minutes or till almost set, rotating twice.
Arrange cheese atop, Let stand 5 minutes.
