Sour Cream Ham Omelette
|Dairy sour cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Stiffly beaten egg whites||5|
|Finely diced cooked ham||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine / fat||2 Tablespoon|
Beat egg yolks till thick and lemon-colored; beat in half of the sour cream and the salt.
Fold in egg whites and ham.
Heat butter in 10-inch skillet; pour in omelet mixture, leveling gently.
Cook over low heat until lightly browned on bottom, about 5 minutes.
Finish cooking in slow oven (325°) till top is golden brown, about 12 minutes.
Loosen omelet; slide onto warm plate.
Cut in wedges with two forks.
Garnish with remaining sour cream and Glazed Apples.
