Fruited Glazed Ham
|Light brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Light corn syrup||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Prepared mustard||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Cooked ham||12 Pound (Bone In)|
|Canned sliced pineapple||12 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Canned pear halves||20 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
In small glass bowl, combine sugar, syrup and mustard.
Heat at medium 3 to 4 minutes or until sugar is dissolved and mixture boils; stir once.
Place ham fat-side up on microwave oven safe roasting rack set in oblong baking dish.
Heat, covered with wax paper, at medium 30 minutes.
Remove skin from ham (if necessary) and score fat; brush with 1/4 cup glaze.
TO HEAT BY TEMPERATURE: Insert probe into center of ham not touching bone or fat.
Heat at medium, 100°F; medium-LOW, 120°F;andatLOW, 140°F.When temperature in display window reaches 120°F, arrange fruit on ham, securing with wooden toothpicks.
Brush with glaze.
TO HEAT BY TIME: Heat at medium 1 hour.
Arrange fruit on ham.
Heat at medium an additional 30 minutes, or until ham registers 140°F when tested with conventional meat thermometer.
TO COMPLETE: Drain liquid from dish occasionally.
Let STAND, covered, 15 minutes before serving.
