|Onion||1 Medium, cut in rings|
|Water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Vinegar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Mixed pickling spice||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Whole black peppercorns||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
In bowl, combine ham and onion.
In 4-cup glass measure, combine water, vinegar, pickling spice, sugar, and peppercorns.
Cook at HIGH for 3 to 4 minutes or till simmering.
Pour over ham mixture.
Cover and chill at least 24 hours, stirring occasionally.
