Ham Turnovers

  Egg 1 , beaten
  Water 1 Tablespoon
  Shortcrust pastry 1 Pound
  Cooked ham 3 Cup (48 tbs), diced
  Chili peppers 2 Tablespoon, finely chopped
  Onion 3 Tablespoon, chopped
  Cream of mushroom soup 1 Can (10 oz)
  Poppy seeds/Sesame seeds 1 Tablespoon

Preheat oven to 400 °F (205 °C).
In a small bowl, mix egg and water.
Set aside.
With a rolling pin, flatten pastry.
Cut into 5 inch (12.5 cm) rounds.
Set aside.
In a bowl, mix remaining ingredients, except poppy seeds.
In the middle of each pastry round, place 3 tbsp (45 mL) ham mixture.
Moisten edges.
Fold into half moons.
With a fork, seal turnovers.
Make small vents on top.
Brush with beaten egg.
Sprinkle with poppy seeds.
Bake in oven 15-20 minutes or until turnovers are golden brown.
