Baked Ham With Wine & Onion Glaze
|Onion soup mix/Onion mushroom recipe soup mix||1 Ounce (1 Envelope)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Madeira wine/Sherry||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||2 Tablespoon, melted|
|Finely chopped parsley||1 Tablespoon|
|Fully cooked ham||6 Pound (Butt End)|
|Shallots/Small onions||1 Pound, peeled and quartered|
Preheat oven to 375°.
In small bowl, blend onion recipe soup mix, water, sugar, wine, butter and parsley; set aside.
In roasting pan, place ham.
With knife, score (lightly cut) fat in diamond pattern; top with soup mixture.
Arrange shallots around ham.
Bake, stirring shallots and basting ham occasionally, 60 minutes or until golden brown.
