Ham And Fruit Strata
|Cubed firm textured bread||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Cubed fully cooked ham||4 Ounce|
|Canned pears||8 Ounce, drained and chopped (Halves Or Slices)|
|Shredded cheddar cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Slightly beaten egg||3|
|Skim milk||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
In an 8x8x2 inch baking dish layer bread, ham, chopped pears, and shredded cheese.
Combine eggs, milk, and nutmeg, and pour evenly into dish.
Cover and chill 4 to 24 hours.
Bake, uncovered, in a 325° oven about 45 minutes or till center is just set and top is golden.
Cool 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
Garnish with additional pear slices, if desired.
