Golden Grilled Ham
|Smoked fully cooked ham steak||1 (1 inch thick)|
|Ginger ale||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Orange juice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vegetable oil||3 Tablespoon|
|Wine vinegar||1 Tablespoon|
|Dry mustard||2 Teaspoon|
|Ground ginger||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground cloves||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Score fat edge of ham.
Combine remaining ingredients; pour 1 cup orange juice mixture over ham in a shallow baking dish.
Refrigerate 8 hours, or let stand at room temperature 1 hour, spooning marinade over ham several times.
Refrigerate remaining orange juice mixture.
Grill ham over slow coals about 15 minutes on each side, brushing frequently with reserved orange juice mixture.
Heat remaining juice mixture after basting, and serve with ham.
