Glazed Baked Ham With Dark Brown Sugar
|Canned ham||3 Pound, precooked|
|Canned pineapple slices in unsweetened juice||8 Ounce, undrained|
|Firmly packed dark brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dry mustard||2 Teaspoon|
Remove ham from wrapping and place in a shallow heat-resistant, non-metallic baking dish.
Heat, uncovered, on roast for 8 minutes.
Drain pineapple slices and reserve juice.
In a small heat-resistant, non-metallic bowl combine brown sugar, dry mustard and 3 tablespoons of the reserved pineapple juice.
Heat sugar mixture, uncovered, on roast for 2 minutes.
Score the top and sides of the ham, making diagonal cuts with a sharp knife.
Brush liberally with brown sugar mixture.
Arrange pineapple slices on top and brush again with sugar mixture.
Place whole cloves in pineapple as desired.
Heat, uncovered, on roast for 10 minutes, brushing twice with brown sugar mixture.
Allow to stand covered with aluminum foil 15 minutes
