Split Pea And Ham Soup

Make a soup that will warm your heart and delight your guests. Works well as an appetizer or a main dish.
Ingredients
  Split green peas 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Ham 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), diced
  Onion 1 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped
  Garlic 3 Clove (15 gm), minced
For garnish
  Thyme 1 Teaspoon
  Chives 1 Teaspoon
Directions

MAKING
1. In a pot on medium high, add the split green peas, ham, onion, garlic, water and salt. Mix well and let this cook for 2 hours on low to medium heat.
2. Stir in between to avoid any lumps.

SERVING
3. Serve this soup garnished with thyme or chives.
