Batter-Fried Haddock

Ingredients
  Fat 2 Cup (32 tbs) (for deep frying)
  Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
  Egg 1 , separated
  Melted butter 1 Tablespoon
  Halibut fillet 2 Pound
Directions

"Sift flour, baking powder and salt into bowl.
Drop egg yolk in center; add 1/2 cup lukewarm water and butter.
Mix well.
Beat egg white until stiff peaks form; fold into flour mixture.
Dip fish into batter.
Fry in hot fat at 365 degrees for 4 to 6 minutes."
