Baked Cheese Grits

These baked cheese grits are made with instant grits and cheddar cheese. Cooked in the oven along with a mix of milk with eggs and seasoned to taste, the baked grits are nutritious and flling.
Ingredients
  Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Instant grits 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Eggs 2 , beaten
  Shredded cheddar cheese 4 Ounce
  Milk 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Ground white pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

In a 1 quart saucepan bring water to boiling.
Slowly stir in grits.
Gradually stir about 1 cup hot mixture into eggs.
Return to saucepan.
Remove from heat.
Stir cheese, milk, and pepper into grits.
Spoon into a 1 quart casserole.
Bake in a 350° oven about 50 minutes or till puffed and a knife inserted in center comes out clean.

The dish was delicious. I doubled the receipe and added cooked ground maple sausage. Great dish for Sunday morning breakfast.
