Bring water and salt to a boil, stir in grits.
Cook grits according to package directions.
Remove from heat, add cheese and butter, stirring until melted.
Stir in milk.
Add a small amount of hot grits to eggs, stirring well, stir egg mixture into remaining grits.
Pour grits into a lightly greased 2 1/2-quart casserole.
Bake at 350Â° for 40 minutes or until set.
