Fried Grits

Ingredients
  Water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Uncooked quick cooking grits 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cooked crumbled bacon 2 Tablespoon
  Butter/Margarine 5 Tablespoon, divided
Directions

Bring water and salt to a boil; stir in grits.
Cook grits until done, following package directions.
Remove from heat.
Add bacon and 1 tablespoon butter; stir until butter melts.
Pour grits into a greased 8 1/2- x 4Vi- x 3-inch loaf pan.
Cool; cover and refrigerate overnight.
Remove grits by inverting pan; cut loaf into 1/2-inch slices.
Melt remaining 1/4 cup butter in a large skillet; fry slices over medium heat 5 to 7 minutes or until lightly browned, turning once.
