Sliced Cheese Grits

  Quick cooking grits 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Milk 1 Quart
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Butter/Margarine 3 Tablespoon
  Shredded swiss cheese 4 Ounce
  Grated parmesan cheese 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)

Combine first; 4 ingredients in top of double boiler; bring water to a boil.
Cook over boiling water 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until grits are thick.
Add additional water to the dou ble boiler, if necessary.
Spread grits mixture evenly in a lightly greased 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking pan.
Let stand at room temperature until grits are firm.
Cut grits into 12 rectangular slices.
Arrange slices, long sides slightly overlapping, in a lightly greased 9-inch square baking dish.
Drizzle melted butter over grits; sprinkle with cheese.
Bake at 400° for 25 minutes.
Serve grits hot.
