Far East Celery
|Celery stalk||10 , cut into 1 inch pieces|
|Water||14 Cup (224 tbs)|
|Canned sliced water chestnuts||10 Ounce (Drained)|
|Sliced almonds||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Diced pimiento||2 Tablespoon|
|Green onion||1 , sliced|
|Chicken broth||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Soy sauce||1 Teaspoon|
Place celery, water, and salt in 1 1/2 quart microproof casserole.
Cover with casserole lid and cook on HI, 8 to 10 minutes, or until celery is tender.
Pour off water.
Stir in water chestnuts, almonds, pimiento, and green onion.
Combine cornstarch with broth and soy sauce, stirring until cornstarch is dissolved.
Stir into vegetable mixture.
Cover and cook on HI, 2 to 2/2 minutes.
