Celery With Water Chestnuts

Ingredients
  Celery 1 Bunch (100 gm)
  Canned regular strength chicken broth 14 Ounce (1 Can)
  Basil leaves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
  Cold water 2 Tablespoon
  Canned water chestnuts 12 Ounce (1 Can)
  Almonds 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), sliced
  Fine dry bread crumbs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 3 Tablespoon, melted
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 350°.
2. Trim celery and cut into 1-inch pieces.

MAKING
3. In a large saucepan add chicken broth, basil, salt and pepper.
4. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
5. In a bowl mix cornstarch with water.
6. Add it to the stock and stir until thick.
7. Drain and slice water chestnuts.
8. Add chestnuts and almonds to the sauce.
9. Transfer the mixture into a 2-quart casserole.
10. In a pan mix bread crumbs with melted butter.
11. Sprinkle bread crumbs over vegetable.
12. Bake for 30 minutes.

SERVING
13. Serve hot.
