In a casserole, put celery, bay leaf, cloves, and 1/2 cup water.
Cook, covered, 8 minutes, on high or until celery is only slightly crisp.
Add sugar, vinegar, and butter and toss lightly Cook, covered, 1 minute, on high or until butter is melted and celery is piping hot.
Season to taste.
Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
