Greek Turkey Burgers with Yogurt Sauce
|Chopped red onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped cucumber||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped cucumber||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
|Lean ground turkey||1 Pound|
|Plain fat free yogurt||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dried oregano leaves||1 Teaspoon|
|Garlic powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Whole wheat hamburger buns||4|
1 In a small bowl, mix all sauce ingredients and refrigerate until ready to serve.
2 Set the oven control to broil.
3 In a medium bowl mix all burger ingredients except buns.Shape the mixture into patties each about 1/2 inch thick and 5 inches in diameter.Place on the rack in a broiler pan.
4 Broil the patties with tops about 6 inches from the heat for 8 to 10 minutes, turning after 5 minutes, until thermometer inserted in the center reads 165 degrees farenheit. Place the patties on buns.
5 Serve with sauce.
