|Yogurt sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Red wine||2 Tablespoon|
|Ground cumin||2 Teaspoon|
|Chopped fresh oregano/1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground red pepper||1 Dash|
|Ground black pepper||1 Dash|
|Chopped tomatoes||2 Tablespoon|
Prepare Yogurt Sauce.
Soak 4 bamboo skewers in water at least 20 minutes before using.
Combine meat, wine and seasonings in medium bowl; mix lightly.
Divide mixture into eight equal portions; form each portion into an oval, each about 4 inches long.
Cover; chill 30 minutes.
Insert skewers lengthwise through centers of ovals, placing 2 on each skewer.
Grill about 8 minutes or to desired doneness, turning once.
Fill pita breads with lettuce, meat and chopped tomatoes.
