Ambrosia means food of God. Comes from Greek Mythology I believe.

Hey Aditis, Really a mouth watering picture of Ambrosia dish. This recipe is also looking delicious. As per my knowledge this dessert belong to Greek Cuisine. Greek Cuisine is an important part of Mediterranean Cuisine and also known for uses of olive oil. This dessert is a very popular festive dessert in Greece. It is absolutely delicious. By the way thanks for posting this nice recipe of Ambrosia.

Well, this fruit ambrosia recipe and picture is looking heavenly. It is rightly called food for gods. I had the pleasure of enjoying Ambrosia in NY with a Greek friend from business school. Baklava sold at Greek Village, Tarpon String, Florida is worth a visit to Florida. However, I must say that this ambrosia recipe can perhaps make it possible to have great NY and FL type foodie experience at home.
