|Butter/Margarine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Powdered sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sifted|
|Aniseed||1⁄4 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Almonds||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), finely chopped|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Whole cloves||1 Teaspoon|
|Powdered sugar||1 Tablespoon, sifted|
In mixer bowl, cream butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
Stir in egg yolk, vanilla, and aniseed.
Stir in almonds.
Stir together flour and baking powder; blend into creamed mixture.
Wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes.
Form into 1-inch balls (using 1 tablespoon for each); stud each with a clove.
Cook 16 at a time on glass pizza plate at MEDIUM HIGH (7) for 6 to 6 1/2 minutes or till done, turning dish once.
Sprinkle with additional powdered sugar.
