Keftedes is an irresistible mouth-watering appetizer. An easy to prepare steak recipe, this Keftedes is a dish that you would surely love to try.
|Ground round steak||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Eggs||2 , lightly beaten|
|Fine soft bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Onions||2 Medium, finely chopped|
|Chopped parsley||2 Tablespoon|
|Chopped fresh mint||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground allspice||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Freshly ground black pepper||To Taste|
|Shortening||2 Tablespoon (For Pan Frying)|
Combine all the ingredients except shortening and mix thoroughly.
Refrigerate for several hours.
Shape into small, bite-size balls and fry in hot shortening until browned.
