Dinner - Ultimate Greek Turkey Burgers

Who else finds turkey burgers as dry and boring as I do?! I took a regular turkey burger and turned it up about 1000 times. This ultimate Greek turkey burger will leave you saying OPA.

Ingredients

For turkey burger
Ground turkey 1 1/4 Pound
Red pepper 1/2 , diced small
Red onion 1/2 Small , diced small
Sundried tomatoes 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , diced small
Chopped frozen spinach 5 Ounce , thawed and strained
Chopped fresh oregano 1 Teaspoon
Salt and pepper To Taste
Feta cheese 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) , crumbled
Egg 1
Plain bread crumbs 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
For tzatziki
Plain greek yogurt 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Fresh cucumber 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) , grated
Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm) , grated
Zest of lemon 1/2
Juice of lemon 1/2
Salt and pepper To Taste
Fresh dill 1 Tablespoon
Other ingredients
Fresh burger buns 5
Red onion slices 5
Lettuce leaves 5
Tomato slices 5
Feta cheese 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Non stick cooking spray 4 Dash

Directions

GETTING READY

 

Preheat the griddle pan and lightly grease with non stick cooking spray

 

MAKING

 

In a bowl, combine the ground turkey, red pepper, red onion, sundried tomatoes, half package frozen spinach, oregano, salt, pepper, crumbled feta, egg, and plain breadcrumbs. Mix well with hands

Roll the mixture into a ball and then flatten out into a patty.

Place the patties to the griddle pan and cook on one side for 5 minutes; flip and cook on the other side for 3 – 5 minutes.

For the tzatziki sauce – In a bowl, combine together all the ingredients.

 

FINALIZING

On a bun add the turkey burger, lettuce, tomato, red onion, feta, and a big dollop of the fresh tzatziki sauce.

 

SERVING

Serve with some more salad.
