Rich Onion Gravy

This is a recipe fpr a tasty Gravy. You can prepare this at home amd serve it with any Indian Bread. I love this wonderful recipe especially because t was the first few recipes that I learned when I started cooking!
  Chopped onion 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Garlic 6 Clove (30 gm)
  Cumin powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Green cardamoms 4
  Tomato 300 Gram
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Ground ginger 2 Teaspoon
  Red chili powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground mixed spice 2 Teaspoon
  Poppy seeds 2 Teaspoon
  Coriander leaves 1 Teaspoon
  Ghee 1 Tablespoon

Fry the chopped onion till light brown.
Then add ground garlic, ginger, 1 cup water, red chilli powder and salt and stir till water is evaporated.
Add blanched and chopped tomatoes, sugar, ground spices, cumin powder, crushed cardamoms and poppy seeds and stir till the mixture leaves its ghee.
Now add 2 cups of water and cook till gravy is thick.
Pour in a dish and decorate with koftas.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
