Herbed Low Calorie Gravy
|Canned beef broth||2 Cup (32 tbs), degreased, cooled (Or Stock)|
|All purpose flour||2 Tablespoon|
|Dry white wine||2 Tablespoon|
|Celery salt||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Dried basil||1⁄8 Teaspoon, crumbled|
|Dried thyme||1⁄8 Teaspoon, crumbled|
1. In a small bowl or 2-cup liquid measure, whisk or stir together the beef broth and cornstarch until blended.
2. In a small heavy saucepan, melt the butter over moderate heat. Stir in the flour and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Stir the broth once again and add all at once. Add the wine, celery salt and thyme. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil over moderate heat. Simmer, stirring, for 1 minute. Serve hot.
