Savory Steak And Gravy
|Boneless beef round steak||1 Pound, cut 3/4 inch thick|
|All purpose flour||2 Tablespoon|
|Dry mustard||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Nonstick spray coating||1|
|Sliced fresh mushrooms||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|Instant beef bouillon granules||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Trim separable fat from the steak.
With a sharp knife cut the steak into 4 serving-size pieces.
In a small mixing bowl stir together the flour, dry mustard, and pepper.
With a meat mallet pound the flour mixture into the steak pieces.
Spray a cold large skillet with nonstick coating.
Preheat the skillet over medium heat.
Add the steak pieces to the skillet.
Brown on both sides.
Stir in sliced mushrooms, water, Worcestershire sauce, and instant beef bouillon granules.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover the skillet and simmer about 11/4 hours or till the meat is tender.
