Pickled Grapes

Ingredients
  Mixed black and green grapes 3 Pound (1.5 Kilogram)
  Apple cider vinegar 3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)
  Water 3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)
  Brown sugar 6 1⁄2 Ounce (200 Gram)
  Salt 1 Tablespoon
  Whole cloves 2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon sticks 4 , broken
Directions

1. Wash grapes and break into small bunches. Discard any over-ripe or damaged grapes, and pack bunches into four wide mouthed 1-liter/4-cup jars or two 2-liter/8-cup jars.
2. Place vinegar, water, sugar, salt, cloves and cinnamon into a large saucepan and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 8 minutes, set aside and cool to room temperature.
3. Pour liquid into each jar, making sure to fill to the top. Seal jars and set aside for 2 weeks at room temperature, then store in a cool place.

This seems like a good recipe. Do let us know how the pickled grapes turned out and whether you followed the recipe to the 'T' or tweaked it a bit!

I just used the small purple grapes that we have growing in the back yard.I did try another recipe that you can eat them right away.I did this one to.The one that you can eat right away are good.You can really taste the vineager in them!I tried them on crackers with white cheese.That was good.

Wow fresh grapes are perfect for the recipe. I'm sure green grapes will taste good too! Wonder if balsamic vinegar or raspberry vinegar will work well for pickling? Will be more like a grape salad?
