|Light brown sugar||8 Ounce (About 225 Gram)|
|Butter||4 Ounce (About 100 Gram)|
|Rolled oats||4 Ounce (About 100 Gram)|
|Rye||2 Ounce (About 50 Gram)|
|Hazelnuts||1 Ounce, chopped (About 25 Gram)|
|Raisins||2 Ounce (About 50 Gram)|
Lightly grease an 18 x 28 cm/7 x 11 in shallow tin.
Place the sugar, butter, oats, rye flakes and hazelnuts in a large, heavy based saucepan.
Heat gently, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the butter has melted.
Increase the temperature slightly and continue to cook, stirring continuously, until the sugar caramelises and the oats turn a light golden brown.
Quickly stir in the raisins and press the mixture into the prepared tin, levelling the surface with the back of an oiled metal spoon.
Mark the mixture into 12 fingers while still warm, then break it into pieces when quite cold.
