Party Rye Appetizers
|Pork sausage||1 Pound (Bulk)|
|Processed cheese||1 Pound, cut into 1-inch cubes|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|Dried whole oregano||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Garlic powder||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Party rye bread loaf||16 Ounce (Two 8-Ounce Loaves)|
Brown sausage in a heavy skillet, drain well.
Place cheese in a heavy saucepan over low heat, stir frequently until cheese melts.
Add sausage, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, and garlic powder, mix well.
Spread about 2 teaspoons of sausage mixture on each bread slice.
Bake on an ungreased baking sheet at 375Â° for 10 minutes.
To freeze, place unbaked slices on baking sheets, and place uncovered in freezer until frozen.
Remove from baking sheets, and store in an airtight container in freezer.
To serve, place on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake, unthawed, at 375Â° for 10 minutes.
