Roast Goose With Baked Apples
|Bread crumbs||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sweet potatoes||3 , cooked & mashed|
|Potatoes||3 , cooked & mashed|
Goose: Cook giblets until tender; chop & add to bread crumbs, onion, shortening, sage, salt & pepper to make a stuffing.
Stuff goose; close openings.
Roast 15 minutes at 500 degrees, then at 350 degrees for about 3 hours or until tender.
Apples: Wash & core apples.
Sprinkle brown sugar inside core & on outside of apples.
Stuff core with seasoned sweet potatos.
Bake until tender; serve hot with goose
